0.5 mL serum
Plasma collected in: EDTA (royal blue-top) tube, sodium heparin (green-top) tube, lithium heparin (green-top/no gel) tube, or EDTA (lavender-top) tube
0.25 mL serum or plasma
Allow specimen to completely clot. Centrifuge for 15 minutes as soon as the specimen is clotted. Transfer the serum/plasma into a properly labeled transfer tube. Specify specimen type (serum) on transfer tube.
Do not submit glass tubes.
